K.P.L.1: Flexible Floatation Collars are specifically designed to wrap around a flexible type hose. The collar allows sufficient buoyancy and acts as a preventative safety measure to keep the hose away from the ships propellers.

The flexible material enables the collar to bend following the natural curve of the hose when various products, such as diesel, cement, drilling mud, bartyte, drinking water and oil based products are being transferred from ship to shore or ship to rig. The collars are designed to store in flat-pack form, ideal where space is minimal. K.P.L. 1: The ‘Dayglow Orange’ floatation collar is made from strong, flexible, hard wearing nylon material, reinforced with double strength nylon stitching. The specialised inner floatation aid material is encapsulated by using a series of concertina styled pockets with appropriate brass eyelets positioned along the outer edges (as shown in Diagram 1) below. A nylon lightweight lace cord threaded through the brass eyelets secures the Floatation Collar along the length of the flexible hose. These flotation collars can remain on the hose and wound on the reel when not in use. As shown below.
